Editing a Presentation

1

Open or upload your presentation

If your presentation is already in the Data Room, it is ready to go. Otherwise, drag and drop a PPTX file into the Data Room.
2

Tell Apers what to change

Type your edit request in the Chat box. For example: “Add a slide with the financial summary after slide 3” or “Update the title on the first slide.”
3

Review the changes

Apers applies the edits to your Google Slides file. Click the file in the Data Room to preview, or open it in Google Slides.

Working with Uploaded PPTX Files

You can upload an existing PowerPoint file and Apers will read and modify it.
1

Upload your file

Drag and drop the PPTX file into the Data Room.
2

Ask Apers to read it

Apers processes the file and understands its content, structure, and layout.
3

Request changes

Ask for any edits: “Add a new conclusion slide”, “Fix the formatting on slide 5”, or “Replace the revenue numbers with updated figures.”
Uploaded PPTX files are converted to Google Slides so Apers can edit them. You can export the result back to PPTX from Google Slides if needed.

Tips for Better Edits

  • Be specific about slide numbers when targeting particular slides
  • Describe the layout you want if you have a preference for how content is arranged
  • Reference your documents to pull in updated data automatically
Large presentations with complex animations or embedded media may not fully preserve all formatting during conversion.
