Once you’ve created a playbook, you can deploy it to evaluate any deal.

Two Ways to Use Playbooks

Option 1: From the Playbooks Tab

1

Open Playbooks

Go to the left panel and click Playbooks.
2

Select your playbook

Click on the playbook you want to use.
3

Click Evaluate Opportunity

Click the Evaluate Opportunity button.
4

Select a deal

In the Select a Deal to Evaluate window, choose the deal you want to evaluate and click Run Playbook.

Option 2: From a Deal

1

Open the deal

Go to the deal you want to evaluate.
2

Click Run Playbook

Click the Run Playbook button.
3

Select a playbook

A pop-up window appears. Choose the playbook you want to use and click Run Analysis.
Either way, the playbook is attached to the deal and Apers starts a new chat that evaluates the deal against your criteria, ending with a recommendation: Pass, Dive Deeper, or Invest.

Evaluating Under Different Playbooks

A deal has one playbook attached at a time, and running a different playbook replaces it for everyone on the deal. Each run starts its own evaluation chat, so you can still compare how a deal scores under different strategies:
  • You want to see how a deal scores under different strategies
  • You have different strategies (e.g., Value-Add vs. Opportunistic)
  • Different team members have different investment criteria
Run one playbook, then run the next. The earlier evaluation chats stay in the deal’s Chat Sessions.
